The candidacy of CHANGE and HOPE.


Let me just say this about CHANGE.
On September 10, 2001 there were twin towers standing in New York City.
On September 11, 2001 TERRORISTS flew airplanes into those buildings.
Over 3,000 people lost their lives.......343 of them were New York city Firefighters.
That was CHANGE.
The moral here is that not all CHANGE is good.
CHANGE is NOT a destination.

and about HOPE....
I HOPE that Iran is not allowed to build nuclear weapons.
But HOPING that it doesn't happen is not good enough.
HOPE is NOT a strategy.



So after all the talk about CHANGE and HOPE, about changing the way things are done in Washington, about CHANGE we can believe in......Obama picks for his running mate.....
JOE BIDEN.

With these two and a democrat congress, I guess after they get done
picking your pockets,  you can
HOPE........that they leave you some CHANGE.

Harold Schaitberger and his E-Board have again decided to put their own selfish interests over that of the members. Four years ago they did the same. After 27 years of being a dues paying IAFF member I asked the IAFF 4 times to tell me who was paying the way for Pres. Schaitberger to fly all over the country with then candidate John Kerry. After getting no answer to those 4 requests I decided that my dues money would never again be used this way, and I left the IAFF.

This time Harold and his cronies have chosen to endorse Barack Obama. They say it is strictly based on his support of firefighter issues.
Does Harold EVER mention Obama's fitness for the most important job of a president ??
Of course not.......How can you say that a man who launched his political career in the home of an unrepentant domestic terrorist should be trusted with commanding the most powerful military force on the face of the earth ???

Obama's support of federal legislation for collective bargaining.
I have nothing against collective bargaining, but I think it is an issue for local and state governments and their citizens to decide. Many public entities are supported by tax levies approved by the voters..........Local voters
COLLECTIVE BARGAINING SHOULD BE A STATE/LOCAL ISSUE DECIDED BY LOCAL VOTERS
NOT by FEDZILLA

Obama's support of federal monies being spent for the fire service.
I could go on and on about the merits of spending your federal tax dollars for what should be a LOCAL responsibility.........but that really isn't necessary.
The question is:
HOW COURAGEOUS IS IT TO SPEND SOMEONE ELSE'S MONEY ??

Obama's supposed efforts against overturning FLSA for firefighters. When did this attempt to overturn FLSA for firefighters occur ?   If it really happened... What exactly did Obama do ?
Of course they say in the same section that John McCain would appoint judges that will overturn FLSA.  What a stretch they had to make on that one......my answer....  Prove it.


I already talked about Obama supporting spending YOUR money to bail out people caught up in the mortgage mess, many of whom were living way beyond their means or should never have been given the loans in the first place. We can thank the Clinton administration for much of the latter. In the early 90's the Clinton Administration advanced the National Homeownership Strategy.  Since many with low incomes could not get mortgages,  banks were pressured to start getting creative in making loans to those without down payments or even the income sufficient to make the payments. This obviously was not the only cause for the mortgage meltdown, but it certainly planted the seeds.


I could go on about the IAFF's claims as to why Barack Obama is being endorsed by them,
but instead I will sum it all up in one sentence.

Barack Obama stands ready to spend other people's money, taxpayer's money, YOUR money at any time and any place at the drop of a hat as long as it helps him politically.

The AMERICAN IDOL-ization of American politics

Barack Obama gives a great speech. If there was an American Idol for speeches instead of singing he could almost certainly win. He has created a rock-star image of himself.
He surrounded himself with huge roman style columns for the DNC.
 Unfortunately underneath that pop-culture image is an empty suit.
When you get a little deeper there is a rather unsettling backgound.

Rudy Guiliani said it best when he stated that Barack Obama has never run a city, has never run a state, has never run a business and has never led a military unit. He has not run ANYTHING.......
NOTHING........
NADA.........
But some are willing to hand over to him the job of running the greatest, most powerful country in the world.
They would hand over to him control of what could be called the largest business in the world.

Barack Obama many times used the vote of "PRESENT" while in the Illinois Senate.
I hope he realizes that "PRESENT" is NEVER an option for the President.
He has spent most of his time in the U.S. Senate running for the presidency.
In other words.......he has been running for president the whole time.
His lack of experience and leadership can be debated forever while getting anywhere.

I don't care where you are on the abortion debate. I am personally pro-life.
But I do think that Obama's votes in Illinois on Born Alive Infant Protection ARE relevant.
This legislation would have provided for life saving measures for an infant that was delivered and born ALIVE and VIABLE  during an abortion.
THREE TIMES  Barack Obama voted NO.
In other words....his vote was to end the child's life, either through no action, or by the doctor.
THAT is an extreme and radical position.....even from a supporter of  "choice".


 What is MOST important to know about Barack Obama is who he REALLY is.
Like it or not, a man's decision to associate himself with certain people IS relevent.
Most people will not associate with people they vehemently disagree with.
Decide for yourself.

First, Obama said he could no more denounce Wright than denounce his own grandmother......
later of course........he denounces Rev. Wright and throws him under the bus.
The important things to remember are:
He had known Wright for 20 years !! To say he did not know of Wright's controversial utterings is just plain unbelievable. In plain truth......It is a LIE.
His willingness to toss Wright aside as soon as he thought it was hurting him politically should tell you all you need to know about Barack Obama.







Obama and convicted Syrian born Chicago slumlord Tony_Rezko
In 2005 Obama, along with Rezko, looked at a home Barack and Michelle wanted to buy.
Obama ended up buying the house for $300,000 less than the asking price, on the same day that Rezko's wife bought the adjoining lot for the full asking price of $625.000.  Obama says there was no coordination between him and Rezko on the purchases of the two properties, which were originally for sale as one.    I'll let you decide.




Raila Odinga - Prime Minister of Kenya.
Obama campaigned for Odinga while in Kenya in 2006.  Odinga calls himself a "Social Democrat", while his father was openly socialist.
Odinga was schooled in Communist East Germany in the late 60's.
He has a son named Fidel, named after one of his most admired people...............Yes......THAT one.
